The coveted Herald Sun review of ‘Somebody Call A Wambulance’ by Huw Joseph and the Immoral Support band came through and it was good!
The Toff in Town, until April 12 2014.
Herald Sun review of Huw Joseph’s debut Melb Comedy Fest show.
“The show comes across more like a small, intimate music concert rather than comedy show — but it’s a good thing. And aside from the brief “intermissions” in which the team quickly rearrange the stage, it flows quite well.
While the show includes several stand-up skits that merit a laugh, it is the songs that are the highlight. Smart Marriage has the couples in the room making goo-goo eyes at one another until the subject of affection becomes clear, and the final song Wambulance is about a “upper-class white girl” also has a deeper, hidden meaning.
The band is extremely tight and you can tell they have a lot of musical experience. keep an eye on these guys!”
